Marriage and Family Therapy

Regardless of how long that a couple have married, they might encounter communicating issues which render them feeling unheard and not being understood by their spouse. As a result, they will feel distant to each other. Moreover, when some couples have conflicts, they do not know how to control their emotions and adversely impacting each other until very bad consequences occur. When their relationship becomes so bad that one side turns to the outside for emotional and physical comfort which leads to extra-marital affair, the situation becomes devastating to the whole family. Therefore, it is important for the couple to seek help as soon as there are persistent problems in their relationship that they cannot resolve on their own.

Our center analyses the marriage problems based on the Family Systems Theory and when appropriate, also the Prepare/Enrich assessment. This allows us to identify the issues arising from the couple’s interaction pattern and also other systemic factors.  We will then work with the couple to set their goals and priorities, and help them to make the necessary changes.

Extra-Marital Affair Counseling
Extra-marital affair is often a very difficult and complex problem.  Our center will provide help to minimize the damage, address the pain of the wounded spouse, establish opposite sex boundaries, review marriage values and problems, rebuild confidence and trust, and bring about forgiveness.
